(procrastination, “why can’t I just do it”)

Mark T.

“I hated the word procrastination because it makes you sound lazy. I wasn’t lying on the couch eating chips. I cared. I had goals. I’d sit down to work and then it was like my brain suddenly needed to clean the kitchen, answer random emails, watch a video about “how to focus,” anything except the thing.

The worst part was the self-talk. “What is wrong with you?” “Other people just do it.” Then I’d push harder, burn out, disappear for a bit, repeat.

I tried planners, apps, accountability, discipline “hacks.” They worked for like… three days, and then I’d be back at the same invisible wall.

After working with Vytas, it became clearer what that wall actually was for me. And once we dealt with that, work stopped feeling like I had to force myself through it.

Now I still have moments where I don’t feel like doing something (I’m human), but it doesn’t turn into that whole avoidance drama. I start. I continue. I finish. I don’t even get that “tight” feeling that used to show up before I began. That alone has changed my week-to-week life a lot.“
